Discipleship Pathway
Worship. Connect. Serve.
Martin Luther once said, “We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone.” In other words, Christianity is more fully expressed in the context of community—a community that worships, connects, and serves together. Every follower of Jesus, in all seasons of life, seeks to do these things! Here are some easy ways to help you along this discipleship pathway:
Worship
Be fully present with the church every Sunday.
In times of joy or disruption, we need to enter the presence of God with the people of God. We encourage you to join us at one of our campuses every Sunday.
Be fully present with Jesus every day.
In addition to corporate worship, it's vital for every believer to spend time in the Word of God every day. This isn't a ritual, but a means of providing the follower of Christ a sturdy foundation to last a lifetime.
Connect
Take every opportunity to gather with your group.
If you are looking for a meaningful community, we have a variety of different groups meeting safely in person. Whatever group you are looking for we have a place for you. Explore the various options at the campus at which you choose to worship.
Befriend and bring in people who do not have a church.
In response to Christ's commission to expand his church, disciples of Christ should always make effort to make more disciples of Christ. Take time to reach out to friends and family who aren’t engaging with the church and bring them in!
Strengthen the church by serving and giving.
Imitating the servanthood of Christ is a critical aspect of discipleship. Each campus has weekly opportunities to engage with ministries loving people, places, and things to life. Join a CPC campus and explore the opportunities!
Enhance flourishing by serving your work, your world, and people in need.
There are always numerous critical needs in the Middle Tennessee area and beyond. We’re committed to supporting all our Missional Partnerships , and your online giving supports these needs inside and outside the church. Because God's Kingdom is much greater than a single church, we launched City Groups to model the flourishing of all people and all churches.
