Because we follow Jesus, first and foremost above all other things, children and adults with special needs are highly valued at Christ Presbyterian Church. After all, Jesus, always gave special attention to the weak and disadvantaged.
Special Saturday: December 9
One amazing way to love families with children with special needs is by serving at a Special Saturday. This once a month event gives parents of children with special needs a respite. Children with special needs and their siblings are invited to enjoy an uplifting time of Bible stories, music and crafts from 9-11:30 a.m.
The Ascent: December 10 & March 25
The Ascent is a bi-monthly gathering for adults with special needs to have a place for community, growth in their faith, service, worship, fellowship and share a meal. CPC partners with West End Community Church and Cross Point-Bellevue to host and serve our friends. We meet in the Gathering Room at our Central location from 5:30-7 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help provide and serve meals for 45 people. It would be great if the volunteers could stay and eat with the young adults and are also welcome to stay for the rest of the evening. Pizza, fruit and dessert are a great menu with an additional provision for several who are gluten free.
