In 2015 we expanded into two interconnected, strategically located CPC congregations that worship weekly in targeted Nashville area neighborhoods, that live missionally in, around and toward those neighborhoods throughout the week, that apply CPC101 as their playbook for ministry, and that are linked to central resources coming out of our Central location at 2323 Old Hickory Blvd.
How are we one church, two locations?
A movement. We exist not merely for ourselves but for the people, places and things spanning ‘every square inch’ of metropolitan Nashville and beyond.
Living missionally. Each CPC location engages missionally toward its most immediate areas through Public Faith, Mercy & Justice and the integration of Faith & Work. Additionally, several city-wide missional efforts will be shared each year by both locations. There are several CPC groups and missional efforts that contain congregants from both our Central and Intown locations.
Interconnected. One church with two congregations meeting in different locations. Each congregation is as committed to the other’s flourishing as it is its own. Also, each congregation benefits from various ‘central services’ such as Scott’s preaching (50% at Intown and 70% at Central), CPC’s Leadership Intensive and Training, Mercy & Justice partnerships, Faith & Work initiatives, Public Faith forums, Women’s, Children’s and Youth Ministries, CPC Care and Central Admin to name a few.
Strategically located. Two locations make CPC services more accessible to all of Nashville’s residents and enable CPC members who live their lives further in town to connect their area friends and neighbors to CPC more easily through a second CPC location.
