An Important Announcement from Scott Sauls

Dear Christ Presbyterian Church Family,

It is with great joy that I write to announce that one of our beloved pastors, Russ Ramsey, has been unanimously approved by the CPC Session to serve as planting and lead pastor of CPC's third worship location, scheduled to begin in the fall of this year. The new location, which is still to be determined, will be based on a combination of factors, including Russ's networks and own sense of calling, areas of town where CPC's presence would add something new, concentration of people who don't go to church and projected new residents, and in conjunction with the church planting committee of the Nashville Presbytery.

Russ Ramsey

Russ has served part-time with CPC since April 2016, initially as Pastor for Seekers, and more recently as a member of CPC's preaching team, a regular liturgist, and a writer for CPC's website and Connect Group studies. Russ has also served in a full-time capacity as Content Director for She Reads Truth and He Reads Truth, an organization based in Franklin that serves hundreds of CPC's members (plus scores of others) every day by providing content-rich, compelling Bible studies.

Russ has also served as pastor for Midtown Fellowship's 12 South congregation (2010-2015). Prior to Nashville, Russ followed me as the senior pastor of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in the Kansas City area (2003-2010). He also has MDiv and ThM degrees from Covenant Seminary and has authored four wonderful books, which you can read about here.

First and foremost, however, Russ is a child of God, husband to Lisa, and dad to Chris, Margaret, Kate, and Jane. He is also my good friend, so this whole thing makes me quite happy also. ;-)

Please join me in praying for the Ramseys, and also for CPC, as we embark together on this next step of following Christ in his mission of loving people, places, and things to life!

Much love,

Scott Sauls
