Our featured speaker will be Mike Khandjian on the topic, “On Being Known.”
Who would ever guess that true freedom lays deeply embedded in the unearthing of the darkest truth about ourselves? And that our most profound encounters with God come when he exposes what we most fear being revealed? Being known means being taken to the precipice of our greatest relational fears, only to discover a Father who redeems our brokenness—not to make us perfect, but to make us his.
About Mike Khandjian
Mike Khandjian was raised in Miami, Florida, the oldest of five children. It was at Belhaven College (Class of 1980) in Jackson, Mississippi that he met his wife-to-be, Katherine Snider (1982), who grew up in Nashville. They married the summer before his senior year at Reformed Theological Seminary (also in Jackson). He was ordained into ministry in Miami in 1983, and for three years worked in Youth ministry before entering into pulpit ministry in 1986. Since that time he has pastored three churches, in Tallahassee, Miami and the Greater Baltimore area in Maryland, where he and Katherine (an elementary school music teacher) currently live. He and Katherine have three children and three grandchildren.
Mike grew up playing sports and enjoying Rock & Roll. He is a former surfer and less-than-mediocre twice-a-year golfer. He and Katherine love the beach, the outdoors and reading. Together they share the adventure of following Jesus as they live in the delight of the Father.
He the author of “A Sometimes Stumbling Life,” (2018) published by White Blackbird Books.
