WHAT TO EXPECT
Students are invited every Wednesday night to enjoy dinner together, followed by biblical teaching that engages students right where they are, which will be followed by a breakout time in Connect Groups (C-Groups) for honest and practical discussion.
At CPC, our small groups are called Connect Groups. In CPC Youth we like to call them C-Groups for short. C-Groups are one way that we help a big church feel small. Students are able to connect deeper with a handful of other students of the same grade and gender. These groups are led by adult members of CPC who are trained to cultivate environments that are inclusive, where all types of students will be known and loved. Our goal is for our C-Groups to be marked by variety when it comes to schools, backgrounds, political beliefs, popularity, etc., and yet united under the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What we are studying
Movements are everywhere. "To write love on her arms,” "Tom's Shoes,” "Habitat for Humanity,” and the "End-It Movement"—all of those were created during our lifetime. In fact, one of the traits that this generation is known for is being the most cause-driven, movement focused in history. So which movements do we join? How do we start? And how do we move and serve in a way that really matters? Jesus was constantly on the move, loving people, places and things to life. From his example we learn to MOVE on behalf of others and KEEP MOVING to have a lasting impact.
