What to Expect
Students are invited every Wednesday night to enjoy dinner together, followed by biblical teaching that engages students right where they are, which will be followed by a breakout time in Connect Groups (C-Groups) for honest and practical discussion.
At CPC, our small groups are called Connect Groups. In CPC Youth we like to call them C-Groups for short. C-Groups are one way that we help a big church feel small. Students are able to connect deeper with a handful of other students of the same grade and gender. These groups are led by adult members of CPC who are trained to cultivate environments that are inclusive, where all types of students will be known and loved. Our goal is for our C-Groups to be marked by variety when it comes to schools, backgrounds, political beliefs, popularity, etc., and yet united under the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What We Are Studying
Words are powerful. Our words can make friends or create enemies. Now think about how much more powerful God’s words are. Simply by speaking he created the universe. His words caused people who were dead to come back to life. God’s words are the most powerful force in our entire world, but if we’re honest, most of us don’t think of them that way. We hear “the Bible” and think about an old dusty book, something complicated, outdated, or even boring. But what if it was never meant to be that way? As we take a closer look at God’s Word, we may be surprised at what we find. It’s more than a book. It’s better than a story. It’s alive.
