In 1985, Christ Presbyterian Academy was founded to develop students in academics, the arts, athletics, and a winsomely Christian world and life view. Just as CPA is “a school for all churches,” Christ Presbyterian Church is “a church for all schools.” We joyfully serve students and families from all schools in the Nashville area–whether public or private, Christian or secular.
In 2012, The Nashville Fellows was founded as a partnership between several Nashville churches, including CPC. The Fellows Initiative exists to help participants explore what it means to live faithfully as believers in our homes, churches, and workplaces, and across denominational lines.
In 2015, Christ Presbyterian Church launched the Nashville Institute for Faith & Work, an organization dedicated to helping individuals and groups integrate their Christian faith into their day-to-day work in a way that brings about human and organizational flourishing in Nashville and beyond.
There are four Nashville area churches that are direct descendents of CPC. These are Christ Community Church in Franklin, Covenant Presbyterian Church in Green Hills, Midtown Fellowship in downtown Nashville and Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Dickson, TN. God has tremendously blessed these churches and has expanded his Kingdom as other churches have been planted throughout the Middle Tennessee area.
With more than 30% of our offerings going to other ministries locally, regionally, nationally, and globally, CPC has also become known as a supporting and “sending” church. Included among these ministries is our current Senior Pastor’s former church, Redeemer Presbyterian Church of New York City, which was founded by Dr. Timothy Keller in 1989. See other ministries that benefit from CPC’s support.
