#56: 5th and 6th Grade Ministry
What is #56? It's the name of our 5th and 6th Grade Ministry! Although we are still a part of CPC Kids, we are a "pre-youth group." We're a ministry modeled after CPC Youth, designed to disciple and build community among 5th and 6th graders, and prepare them for Youth Ministry while also trying to fold them into the life of the church in developmentally appropriate ways.
#56 Sunday Class | 10 a.m., Elementary Building Chapel
Our 5th and 6th grade Sunday morning class is called #56CORE. 5th and 6th graders should go directly to the Chapel (elementary building), where they will check-in themselves. Please arrange where to meet your child after class as they are allowed to leave on their own.
What are we learning?
#56CORE class is studying a series called “Identity.” This series is designed to help pre-teens value how God has uniquely and wonderfully made them, how God wants to give them a new identity through Jesus, and how he has called us to show our new identity through a life of love. Knowing our true identity helps us to confidently face the trials and pressures of life.
What else do we do?
We usually have a monthly party at a home or sometimes at the church. #56 also participates in regular service projects like Room in the Inn, Special Saturday and the Ascent. Look for these events in our upcoming events section.
