CREDO is our student leadership program. It is open to any students who are members of the church in good standing juniors or seniors in high school seeking to develop in their faith while serving their youth group.
CREDO members most typically serve by co-leading (alongside an adult leader) D-Groups of younger students. However, other forms of intensive leadership are available should a student and staff determine a better area of giftedness. Students in CREDO are given the opportunity to attend Jr. High camps for free and to assume a leadership role. Further, they are asked to be the recognizable leaders amongst their peers.
CREDO is a sessionally sponsored program. Students have been given a subsidy to use toward their leadership training either through attendance of a conference or mission trip. The students take part in determining where they will seek to engage as a leader and additional money may be needed depending upon their venue.
CREDO will meet four times throughout the year on a Sunday from 12-2pm at the Hope House. Lunch will be provided. To be involved in CREDO, attendance is expected unless there are extenuating circumstances. Meetings will include a time of study, leadership training, prayer, and planning.
