Youth Trips

Pleasant Grove, Alabama
Led by Josh Floyd and Alice Fleet

Estimated Cost: $300     Dates: June 24-30

Student Openings: 20 Students (rising 7th through 10th)

In April 2011, dozens of tornadoes ripped through the homes and lives of our neighbors in the State of Alabama. The devastation was drastic and the rebuilding effort and clean-up effort continues long after the media coverage has ended. For the second year in a row, our youth will be teaming up with Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Grove, AL, to aid in various clean-up and restoration efforts and run a VBS for children during the mornings.

This trip offers students an opportunity to interact with believers in a different context, connect with everyone on the team after serving alongside one another for a week, and experience God in a new and refreshing way.

Contact Alice Fleet at or 301-3668 for more information regarding this trip.

Uganda
Led by Ryan Doyle and Janie Omer

Estiamted Cost: $3,500 - $4,000      Estimated Dates: June 20 - July 1

For rising high school juniors through college seniors

Join us as we journey to the cradle of civilization and seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our brothers and sisters in Uganda. Students will go to Masindi, Uganda where they will work with the children at Family Spirit Children's Home, an orphanage and school in a very poor part of the town of Masindi. The kids' ages range from 5-15 (but mostly younger kids) and they have very little, except the joy of the Lord. CPC youth will go to love on and play with the children, make and build relationships, take food and clothing, and offer hope in the name of Jesus. If you are looking to be stretched in your comfort, transformed in your world view, and used mightily in the Kingdom of God, then join this team in Uganda. Contact  Jamie Omer at for more information regarding this trip.
