Heart for Children - Orphan Care

Heart for Children Orphan Care Awareness:

James 1:27 is a clear call to care for orphans. On Sunday morning, January 22, our congregation was given the opportunity to learn about the multitude of ways to care for orphans at home and abroad. Sponsored by Heart for Children, CPC's orphan care ministry, the event will included information, testimonials, and special guests from other organizations such as Bethany Christian Services, Show Hope, 147 Million Orphans, H.E.A.L Ministries, Middle Tennessee Orphan Alliance, and more.

As part of the special Sunday a two-week prayer calendar is provided with information and prayer points for orphans at home and worldwide. To view this calendar, click HERE.

Some are called to adoption, but all are called to care for orphans.

Heart for Children provides the following services:

• Gathering and providing information to those who are considering adoption

• Being advocates of the adoption process

• Providing an arena for fellowship among adult adoptees, adopting parents and their children

• Providing prayer and emotional support

• Linking couples and individuals who have previously adopted or have been adopted to serve as mentors for persons considering adoption.

“Whoever receives one such chid in my name receives me…” Matthew 18:5

Heading up this ministry are Pam and Richard Flohr.
