Deuteronomy Principle

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."  Deut. 6:5-7

What is the Deuteronomy Principle?

Parenting is a daunting task in and of itself. Add the bleak culture we live in and it can be overwhelming! As a ministry, we want to offer you help and hope as you raise your children among the covenant family at Christ Presbyterian Church. We want to come alongside you not only to teach and train your children, but also to help you parenting and guide your children in their spiritual walk. This effort is what we call the Deuteronomy Principle.

Pick up your Weekly Prayer Card at the Parenting/Visitor Center in the ES Building to help you pray for your children each week!

Milestone Celebrations

The Milestone Celebrations will begin again in the fall.  Contact Cindy Cole at for more information.

Parenting Resource Centers

The Parenting Resource Centers are full of articles, resources, books and activities that will encourage and equip you in the ever difficult task of parenting. You are the primary spiritual trainer of your children. You may find assistance through church, school, club programs or other activities for your child, but training your kids spiritually is your most important job. They need you in this role.

We want to help you find ways that help you, your children and your family to grow together. Parents will be able to browse our selections and even purchase resources they would like to read.

Parenting Resource Centers are open upstairs in Building B in the center hall and in the Preschool/Nursery Building.
