Wednesdays night activities will return on September 5, 2012!
Wednesday nights at Awesome Oaks Children’s Ministry are a great place to learn God’s word in a fun, interactive setting!
Preschoolers are learning the ABCs of the Bible. Children learn a Bible verse that begins with each letter of the alphabet. Bible stories, games and crafts all reinforce the truth of scripture and help children learn through play about the goodness and faithfulness of God. Location: 3’s and 4’s meet in room ES 201; 5's and Kindergarten meet in room ES 205.
1st through 3rd grade cook up Bible fun in “The Kitchen.” Each grade meets in their classroom (ES 221, ES 225 and ES 227) for an introductory game or craft, then moves to the chapel for a smorgasbord of Bible truth presented through puppets, video, games, music and more. Join us for a midweek feast!
4th and 5th grades “Grapple” with issues that they deal with each day. We ask questions like, “How can a big God be a friend to me?” and “How many chances should I give someone who hurts me?” We look at what the Bible has to say about it and discuss what we find in small groups. We also play some crazy games together as we build community. The group meets in room ES 111.
6th grade embarks on “The Amazing Race” as they follow the missionary journeys of Paul. Teams of 6th graders follow clues, solve puzzles and race to the destinations of Paul's travels. The pace is fast and furious and the lessons are eternal. "The Amazing Race" meets in room MS 100.
