Congratulations to Betsey Long for being selected to the Middle Tennessee Honor Choir. She auditioned with 1500 other students across the Middle Tennessee area and is eligible to participate in the Tennessee All- State Choir. She is one of 11 1st sopranos to be chosen for the highly competitive Women?s All-State Choir.
Congratulations to senior Melissa Beall who has been selected to participate in the upcoming ARTS Week 2007. Over 7,300 students nationwide submitted materials and portfolios. Of these contestants, only 142 were selected to travel to Miami, Florida, for an all-expense paid weeklong experience. Of those selected, Melissa is one of only 6 who were chosen for photography. The exhibits and interviews Melissa will take part in while attending ARTS Week will make her eligible for nomination as a 2007 Presidential Scholar in the Arts. She will also be eligible for scholarship awards ranging up to $20,000 per year.
